RiseUP PH Inc. is committed to protect and respect your personal data privacy. We are at the forefront of implementing and complying with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 and cooperating with the National Privacy Commission.   

The term "Personal Information" refers to any information, whether recorded in a material form or not, from which the identity of an individual is apparent or can be reasonably and directly ascertained by the entity holding the information or when put together with other information, would directly and certainly identify an individual as defined by the Act. This includes Sensitive personal information that refers to personal information: About an individual's race, ethnic origin, marital status, age, color, and religious, philosophical, or political affiliations

RiseUP PH Inc. assess and evaluate applications for scholarships, career, and educational events,  counseling programs, responds to offline and on-line queries, and performs other services necessary for promoting the mission in educational equity.

Some examples of when we may share or disclose your personal information to others include:

1.   sharing information to potential donors, funders, or benefactors for purposes of scholarship, grants, and other forms of assistance.

2.  providing academic institutions, partner companies, nonprofit org, government agencies, private or public corporations, upon their request, with education and scholastic ranking information or certification of good moral character for scholarship and career internship application purposes.

3.  sharing information for accreditation and university ranking purposes 

4.  responding to inquiries about career and education counseling. 

5.  sharing your directory information with the RiseUP Scholars Alumni and partner professional network associations.

6.  intend to use your personal information for purposes other than our legitimate   interests

7.  marketing or advertising to promote the RiseUP leadership mission, including its activities and events, through photos, videos, brochures, website posting, newspaper advertisements, physical and electronic bulletin boards, and other media;

8. publishing communications with newspaper content, such as news information in RiseUP virtual magazines, blogs, publications, social media sites, and news and media organizations. 

We collect the following personal information from you when you electronically submit information regarding your participation in RiseUp’s scholarship program, e-learning events, and other career development activities.

• Name, mobile, email & address.
• Grades (GWA) and Course Program
• Total Household Income
• Number of Family Members In-School
• Estimated Date of Graduation
• Career Interests

The collected personal information is utilized solely for scholarship assessment, educational, and career guidance purposes within RiseUP but can be shared safely with third-party affiliates and organizations and its partners and service providers, for example, career counseling services or internship facility services.

RiseUP PH Inc. processes personal information will be stored in a database for the period allowed under the applicable laws and regulations. RiseUP PH Inc shall immediately destroy or dispose of in a secure manner any personal information the retention of which is no longer allowed under the said applicable laws, rules, regulations, and/or policies/protocols.  Only RiseUP personnel has access to the personal information, which will facilitate through e-mail and hard copy.  

As provided by the Privacy Act, you may object to your personal data processing, request to access your personal information, and/or have it corrected, erased, or blocked on reasonable grounds.   For the details of your rights as a data subject, you can contact our Data Privacy Officer at the contact details below or at National Privacy Commission.
RiseUP PH Inc considers your request and reserves the right to deal with the matter by the law.
